Living Trust Testimony
I feel so passionate about the importance of a
"Living" Trust that I wanted to tell everyone who is even thinking
about it. . .DO IT NOW! My name is Pam and this is my story.
In August of 2008, my husband and I decided it was
imperative that we put our assets and affairs in order and finally
do a Living Trust. We had talked about it for years but had always
put it off for whatever reason. We didn't have time, we didn't want
to spend the money, etc. In September of 2008, my husband's health
started to deteriorate and, in November, he was admitted into the
hospital where he was to spend the next 48 days and then to a
skilled nursing facility for the last 17 days of his life. During
this ordeal, I was dealing with so many things. . .doctors, nurses,
insurance, financial matters and decisions that had to be made.
However, the one thing I did not have to worry about was the very
important fact that we had done our Living Trust. When I was asked
for Robert's Health Care Directive and/or the Power of Attorney, I
had it!
I had come home late one night from the hospital and will never
forget a phone message that was left by Holly from Hornstein Law
Offices. They had heard about Robert and she called to say they were
so sorry and they were praying for him. She also let me know that
our Living Trust was PERFECT and that if anyone questioned it or I
had any problems to call and Steve Hornstein would take care of it.
To this day, I think of that call and the reassurance it gave me
knowing that our Living Trust was perfect and had been done
properly.
It has been 7 months since my beloved husband passed away. I have
spoken to Holly many times regarding questions I had. She has always
been there for me. I cannot put into words the comfort that has
given me.
In closing, I would like to thank Holly and Hornstein Law Offices
from the bottom of my heart. I would not hesitate to recommend
Hornstein Law Offices to anyone who is thinking about doing a Living
Trust. The most important message I want to send in telling my story
is this. . .do not wait until you or your loved one are in the midst
of a tragedy to try and put your life in order. DO IT NOW!!! Yes, it
takes time and, yes, it costs money, BUT, the comfort and assurance
it will give you knowing it's done and done right. . .you absolutely
cannot put a price on that. And, when I pass on one day, I know full
well that my affairs are in order with a Living Trust that was
personalized and tailored to fit me. I have the knowledge and the
peace of mind knowing that the estate Robert and I had built over 41
years of marriage will go to our children the way we wanted. These
decisions and instructions have been made by us and not by the
courts.
